What is a Custom Shipping Label, and why use it?
A Custom Shipping Label is a shipping label purchased directly from your sales platform (like Etsy or TikTok). When you upload it to Fuel, we handle production and packaging — your chosen carrier handles the delivery.
This feature gives you complete control over your shipping process, while helping you stay compliant with platform requirements and improving your store’s credibility. It’s an ideal solution for sellers aiming to reduce disputes and maintain trust with their customers.
👉 Orders are fulfilled within 24–48 hours from the time they are paid and a valid shipping label is uploaded, ensuring fast turnaround and a better buyer experience.
How It Works
Step 1: Identify eligible products
Only specific products support Custom Shipping Labels. In the Fuel catalog, these are marked with a Custom Shipping Label badge for easy recognition.
Step 2: Purchase your shipping label on Etsy or TikTok
Before creating the order on Fuel, you’ll need to purchase the shipping label directly from your selling platform (e.g., Etsy or Ship by TikTok).
📦 To ensure correct postage, use the packing dimension and supported shipping service provided for each eligible product.
Step 3: Create your order on Fuel
Setting up an order with a Custom Shipping Label on Fuel is simple. Follow these steps to get started:
1. Navigate to the Orders tab
Go to the Orders section in your Fuel dashboard and click Create Order.
2. Select your product
In the product list, look for the Custom Shipping Label badge next to eligible products. This badge indicates which items support this feature.
3. Provide shipping details
Upload your PDF, size 4" x 6" shipping label. Fuel will automatically extract the shipping address and tracking number from the file.
Then, review and confirm the tracking number, and select your selling platform (Etsy or TikTok) — this is required for all custom shipping orders.
4. Review pricing
Click Continue to preview your order summary, including the product base cost and $0.50 handling fee.
5. Place your order
Once everything looks good, hit Create Order. Fuel will take care of production and packaging, and your carrier will handle delivery using your uploaded label.

Fulfillment Cost & Requirements
Using Custom Shipping Labels gives you greater control over your shipments — but it comes with specific requirements and conditions. Please review the following carefully before submitting your order:
💰 Fulfillment Cost
A handling fee of $0.50 per label applies to all orders using a Custom Shipping Label.
Your total fulfillment cost will be:
Base Product Cost + $0.50 Handling Fee
No shipping fee will be charged by Fuel, since the label you upload includes your own carrier’s postage.
📋 Order Requirements
Shipping label must be in PDF format, size 4” x 6”
Must include a valid tracking number and selected platform (Etsy or TikTok)
Label editing is available only while the order is “Pending”
⚠️ Failure to Meet Requirements
If the uploaded label is invalid, unreadable, or contains incorrect information,
→ Fuel will cancel the order, and in some cases, handling or production fees may still apply.If the tracking number and platform are missing or incorrect,
→ The order will be processed as a standard Fuel order with Fuel's shipping rates applied.Fuel is not responsible for failed deliveries caused by incorrect or mismatched label information provided by the seller.

🚫 Duplicate or reused labels may be rejected by carriers or result in failed delivery.
🧾 If a label does not match the package size/weight or the shipping service is not supported, the carrier may charge postage due, or the package may be returned.
📮 Tracking numbers must be active and trackable. Untrackable shipments may lead to disputes on platforms like Etsy or TikTok.
